About Bishan Singapore Property

I have always enjoyed coming to Bishan as I stayed here while I was much younger, it is located in the central part of Singapore and, from there, I am able to reach Orchard road in 15 minutes. This is especially useful for a young chap like me as I am always meeting my friends in town for a movie or dinner.

Therefore, it is only right that as I am searching for a property of my own that I would like to stay in Bishan Singapore. I have been hunting for a home for a year and despite the high prices, I would still want to buy a property so I can stay there in a few years time. Recently, there has been a series of new condominiums being launched in this area and I went down to their showflat for a look. The Sky Habitat was the last big project to be made available for sale in the beginning of this year. It is designed by an award winning architect and it certainly looks beautiful, however, it comes at a price as the price has set an all time high in the Bishan area.

Recently, another new project has been launched beside Sky Habitat and it also promises luxury living at a comparatively cheaper price. The new Sky Vue real estate is by the same developer but it is priced at 10 percent lower than the Sky Habitat. As the launched period is on 28 September, I have already gone down to the showroom for a look and it certainly looks comfortable enough. There is a mix of 1 bedroom to penthouses I can select from.

It is unfortunate that homes in Singapore are getting smaller and more expensive, I think I have no choice but to buy my first property now.

What do you think?

More Singaporeans Buying Homes In Iskandar Malaysia

The prices of Singapore property has been skyrocketing for the past 4 years. Compared to 2008, the prices of property have risen by as much as 40%. This is despite the seven rounds of cooling measures the government has introduced in a bid to slow the growth rate. As more Singaporeans are being priced out of the local housing market, more are heading overseas for property investments.

The Iskandar Malaysia is an effort by the Malaysian government to encourage economic growth the state of Johor. As Iskandar is very near to Singapore, there are also a lot of homes being built there to attract Singaporeans to buy homes in Malaysia. Traditionally, Malaysia has always been an attractive place for Singaporeans to spend their money for shopping and tourism. However, Singaporeans are averse to buying real estate because of lack of support from the local government. The Iskandar region aims to let Singaporeans investors have confidence in buying property in Singapore.

Most Singaporeans like the fact that the Iskandar region is near to Singapore and the price of homes there is almost half of what it costs in Singapore. There are even people commuting between Singapore and Malaysia daily because their work is in Singapore and home in Malaysia. This group of people is set to grow as more locals start to buy homes there and sell their local property.

A few factors have helped Singaporeans decide to buy Iskandar properties, one is the building of a new train system between Singapore and the Johor state. This will link the train system in Singapore with Malaysia and makes travel between the two countries even more efficient. Secondly is the entrance of Singapore companies into the region. This also gives buyers confidence that there is a local presence in the region. Most of the homes being built now in Johor are targeted at Singaporean buyers. The Astaka Condo in Iskandar is only 2 minutes away from the immigration authorities once we cross over from Singapore. It is both attractive as a home and also investment as it is located in the financial centre of Johor.
With such attractive housing projects being launched in Iskandar, it is no wonder more and more Singaporeans are heading northwards to put their money.

Resting Well With Microbead pillows

When you are a frequent runner, resting well is of the utmost importance. First of all, one week before your race, you need to clock at least 8 hours of sleep per day. Having ample sleep will help to recover your body faster and keeps you in tip top condition. When you are sleeping well, you will be more alert and this helps tune your mind to be able to focus when running long distance.

Besides having enough sleep, managing your diet is also important when preparing for your run. Do avoid oily and spicy food one week before the run as this may cause your body to react to nullify these food acids. In worse cases, it might even cause you diarrhea and sap you of your strength to run properly.

Lastly, to aid in you achieving that quality sleep, getting good pillows are important. An example of a good pillow I use is the microbead pillow which I use to good effect. With this pillow, when you are lying down, it will adjust to suit the shape of your body or head. This provides ample support to crucial parts of your body so that they will be in resting position and not a stretched or tense position which often occurs with bad sleeping posture. If you sleep in the wrong position for too long, it might even cause stiff necks. All these will degrade your body condition and affect your running position.

If you follow a disciplined approach in preparing for your race, you will be in tip top condition on the actual day and it will be easier to clock your personal best time.
